To resist, to keep balance, to hold steady despite the restlessness — and perhaps even find joy within it. For Otis Thaïs Martin, the trapeze becomes a metaphor: swaying, slipping away, twisting, while the body struggles against anxiety simply to remain upright.

Blending the live musical improvisations of Camille Garcia-Rennes, readings, storytelling and circus arts, this open-air performance explores anxious states, the exhaustion they produce, and the strategies we invent in order to keep moving forward. Former artist-in-residence at L’Abri, Otis Thaïs Martin transforms the stage into a political space: a place where mental health can be spoken about, shared and collectively held, particularly within queer communities.

At a time when reactionary forces are gaining ground and rights once thought secure are beginning to falter, On emballe bien les choses fragiles seeks to create a space of resistance and care. Joined by two musicians, Otis Thaïs Martin also reflects on the gestures of protection that run through their community: how do we care for one another when the storm is already approaching?
