Pierre Piton
Pierre Piton began his career at the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance (CNSMDP) in 2010. After four years, he continued his studies at the Manufacture – University of Performing Arts in Lausanne, under the supervision of Thomas Hauert (2014-17). There, he worked with artists such as David Zambrano, Fabrice Mazliah, Alejandro Ahmed and Deborah Hay.
At the same time, he started developing his own personal projects and in 2016 he presented Capillotractée at the Danse Élargie competition at the Théâtre De la Ville in Paris and at Quarts d’Heure de Sévelin in Lausanne. In 2017, after obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he joined the Corpus company of the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, where he worked with Martin Forsberg, Christian Falsnaes and Ioannis Mandafounis.
In 2018, he appeared in Les voyageurs, un temps de rêve, a film by Grégoire Korganow, choreographed by Ioannis Mandafounis. In addition, he worked for Philippe Saire in Actéon and with Marthe Krummenacher in Ceci est une rencontre. That same year, he became an Associate Artist at L’Abri and collaborated with Romane Peytavin, with whom he founded the company La PP. During the Antigel festival in 2019 he presented Dédicace and created Farewell Body, that he later performed at the Arsenic in Lausanne. In 2022 he created a solo, Open/Closed, which was presented at l'Arsenic and the Tanzhaus.
Recently, Pierre joined the collective The Field based at the Tanzhaus Zürich, an associate company, where he works with Simone Aughterlony, Lea Moro and soon Isabel Lewis.
