Pauline Coquart

Pauline wrote all the mini-bios of the residents and currently practices illeism – which makes them uncomfortable. At L’Abri, they plan to finish writing their first long-form piece while keeping their publishing project well and alive. Chronic lounger, their favorite position is lying down.

Pauline Coquart is an artist, performer and author. Poetry has a prominent place at the heart of their work, in the form of concise, powerful texts that serve as the basis for scultpures, paintings, and performances. Whether through raw and explosive narrative or surreal insinuations, Pauline Coquart’s practice invites viewers to engage with topics that are often overshadowed by stigmatisation or elitism. In this sense, humour is not simply a device, but a lever for creating ties of proximity. This approach aims to break down traditional barriers of intellectual exclusivity, by opting instead for an accessible aesthetic that melds contemporary writing styles with communal symbols and popular motifs.

Since the beginning of 2025, Pauline Coquart has been organising Short Ass attention Span, an editorial and graphic project that gives various people carte blanche to write short texts.
